When Ara began her undergraduate career, she had the opportunity to be exposed to the full range of accounting courses, all of which tended to reinforce and solidify her intense interest in accounting. Alongside her interests in accounting and finance, she has also been a heavily involved member of academic and non-academic associations. She believes that it’s very important to help positively influence younger students at her school. She has performed the role of President of Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants and a Vice President of Supreme Student Council, which also involved influencing decisions on school funding, again demonstrating to her the central place that finance and accounting have in all of our lives. This involved maintaining and running a youth club, which taught her much about time management and organization, and mentoring members through any problems they may be experiencing.
She has a Master’s degree in Accounting. She is a Certified Intuit QuickBooks Advisor, a Certified Public Bookkeeper, and a Certified Payroll Specialist. She is a member of National Society of Leadership and Success (Sigma Alpha Pi), an organization where top students are nominated by their colleges. She is also member of American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers and Institute of Management Accountants. Since 2008, Ara managed and worked with different clients. Ara lives in Las Vegas, Nevada with her husband and her dog. You’ll often find her reading books and cross stitching during her spare time. She loves sports and you will see her every year at the stadium watching baseball, football, hockey, basketball, etc.
